Julie LaFond - My life is a love affair with music...

All About Julie...

Julie has spent her entire life singing.  She has been fortunate enough to sing with a band that opened for several country music acts; such as Lee Greenwood, Shenandoah, Exile, T. Graham Brown, Reba McEntire and more.  Along with her stage performances, she has performed in more than 200 weddings.  Julie is a singer by nature.  Her range is wide and her emotions pour out with every story that she tells through her songs.

Julie quite literally grew up in the spotlight.  Her mother had a children's television show called "Kiddie Castle Lane", which later became "Kids Corner" and aired on local television in parts of Georgia and Alabama for nearly 20 years.  This is where her love of music began and she has sought refuge in that love ever since.

Julie competed in the Miss Alabama pageant system from the late 80's into the early 90's.  Of the many pageants that she competed it, she won talent in all but one.  She also won a non-finalist talent award at the Miss Alabama Pageant in 1989.  Since competing, she has performed as entertainment, worked behind the scenes, judged and does private coaching.  She believes that the Miss America Scholarship Pageant is a wonderful organization that allows young women to fund their educations while working with amazing platform issues that enhance not only their own lives, but the lives of all that they work with.  This is an empowering organization that gives young women a voice and enables them to pursue and achieve their dreams.
